MOOTS
Welcome to the Medionemeton Moots page! We hope to develop this resource over the coming months to reflect the wide rance of Pagan moots that are currently available all over Scotland. We're starting small though, so here's a taster of what's available.
Aberdeen Pagan Moot
The Aberdeen Pagan Moot, known by their friends (or possibly their enemies) as the RabidsTM have been on the go for about 5 years now. They get up to all sorts of mischief, including raids on other Scottish moots and conferences throughout the UK. Their mascot, Rabid the Ram, is currently missing, presumed kidnapped, so if you come across the cuddly little fella, please let them know.
Visit the Aberdeen Pagan Moot website here for contact and moot details, and join in the fun!
Caer Clud Moot
Caer Clud is an open Druid group in Glasgow. We welcome anyone who is interested in Druidry. We usually meet on the third Sunday of the month, most of the meetings are moots held in a pub in the centre of Glasgow with talks and social chat. In the summer months we try and organise at least one trip or visit to a place of interest and four of the meetings are rituals at the Solstice and Equinox points. Where possible we do prefer to meet folk at least once before they join us in ritual but exceptions are made so if you want to join us please get in touch. Several of our members follow other paths such as Wicca and Heathenry so you don't have to be interested in following a Druid path to join us but it helps.
Visit the Caer Clud website for more information, or email us at caerclud@ntlworld.com.
St Andrews Pagan Moot
The St Andrews Pagan Moot is the oldest in Scotland, though you don't have to be ancient to be welcome. It meets at St Michael's Inn, by Leuchars, roughly midway between St Andrews and Dundee, from 8pm on the last Tuesday of every month. It's a very friendly moot. Very, very friendly. So amazingly friendly in fact, that a visiting ram from the North East of Scotland recently found himself completely unable to resist accepting its hospitality on a long term basis! However, he has since been kid...sorry ram-napped, possibly by a group led by a fan of Rolf Harris, didgeridoo music and Fosters lager.
